Welcome To The

Picture and Video Page
Here we will house interesting pictures and videos of crashes, near misses, crazy wheelstands, and anything else that is neat and automotive related. *****Please note***** that all files are WinZipped, compressed, and in avi format. I recorded in low resolution to keep download time at a minimum. If you are interested in a clearer copy in higher resolution, please e-mail [email protected]
Near Misses
This first video is of a local rotary racer who does amazing wheelstands each time he goes to the track. Normally, he goes straight, but the track just wasn't very good this weekend. Watch the great job he does of saving the car.
This next rotary racer was captured at Gainesville Florida at an import race. If you look closely, you can see the passenger side door come open when the car goes sideways.

Amazing Wheelstands
This is a video of Eddie Bella's Porsche 911. If you haven't seen this car, you are missing something great. The day this video was taken, he made 2 notable passes. One was a 9.90 @ 136 MPH, the other was a 10.40 @ 152 MPH, a half second slower, but 20 MPH faster. He drove the car from New Jersey to Moroso in West Palm Beach Florida where this video was taken (a trip of over 1500 miles!)
This next amazing wheelstand is a Mustang Street Outlaw car at the 1999 Spring Break Shootout at Desoto Dragstrip in Bradenton. If you look very closely you can see both rear wheels off the ground. He also lost the tail lights on this pass as well.
While this is a neat video to watch, it is sad to see it happen. This video was taken at Tampa Bay Dragway in St. Petersburg Florida during a local 10.5" street car shootout. This beautiful orange Chevy Nova ran strong all night, but on this pass, something went wrong. As soon as the car launched, you can hear the car pop through the intake and see a burst of fire from the cowl hood. I thought nothing of it and put the camera on the other car. As the other car is finishing his pass, you can hear loud machine gun pops as the nitrous system explodes. I brought the camera back to the Nova and this video shows what happens. I edited the video to keep size to a minimum but in its entirety, this car burnt for 30 seconds. As you can see, track personel were not prepared for this event and there was no fire truck in the area. The guy driving the car wasn't even the owner, and in fact, the owner is the one who runs up and grabs the fire extinguisher and tries to put out the flames without much luck. If you are interested in the whole video, it is 26 megs and I can send it to you if you email me at: [email protected]
Nova (10 megs)
This is a picture of a tube framed Dodge Viper GTS. This car was built by Mark Garland of New Port Richey Florida (who also built the Scranton Brothers new Pro 5.0 car). This car has an all aluminum big block pro mod motor with 2 stages of nitrous. It uses a Lenco transmission. Best of all, the car retains power windows/doorlocks, and even A/C. He even took the car to his local Dodge dealer to have warranty work done on a leaky door seal!
